Last week the 52nd Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival was held, and Sagafilm's contribution, "noitulovE" or Evolution was rewarded the Grand Prix Prize. The commercial was made for Guinness beer and filmed here in Iceland. The commercial is a spoof on Darwins's theory of evolution and happens backwards. Sagafilm's director of advertising, Lárus Halldórsson, says that the commerical has garnered quite a bit of attention and expects other larger companies to follow suit and film commercials in Iceland. -mld
